The 19th Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club of St. Augustine’s School, Kalimpong was held at the Stolke Conference Hall on the 29th of July, 2026.
• The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Reverend Father Fintan Moktan, Vice Principal, St. Augustine’s School, Guest of Honour President Elect Rtn. Vikash Golyan,Vice President, R.C. Kalimpong, Assistant Governor Rtn. Sheila Rai Fudong, Zone VIII, R.I. Dist. 3240, CYLC and New Generatiob Director Rtn. CA. Sumit Jindal along with the distinguished Rotarians, R.C. Kalimpong, Faculty Advisors and interactors of DGH, RVA, Saptashri Gyaanpeeth and APS.
• The programme commenced with the formal welcome of the dignitaries, Rotarians, Faculty Advisors, and student delegates, followed by the installation of the newly elected office bearers of the Interact Club for the session 2026–2027.
• The Club gave the Annual Report highlighting the club’s activities, achievements, and community service initiatives undertaken during the 2025–2026 session.
• A detailed Financial Report for the previous year was also presented before the gathering by the treasurer of the club, reflecting the club’s responsible and transparent functioning.
• The newly installed President addressed the assembly and shared the vision and roadmap for the forthcoming session. The major initiatives proposed for the year include:
“Clean SAS” Programme to promote cleanliness and environmental awareness within the school campus.
Extending financial assistance to ease the educational burden of two girl children.
Distribution of stationeries and essential learning materials to students of a nearby local school as part of the club’s community outreach programme.
. It was during the event that two girl children (Anushka Darjee, currently studying in Sangseer Primary School in class V and Lameen Tamang currently studying in St. Philomena Higher Secondary School in class VIII)were handed over the Letter of Sponsorship attested by the Interact President, Faculty Advisor Neeraj Pradhan of the Sasonians Interact Club and President Elect Rtn. Vikash Golyan, Vice President, R.C. Kalimpong.
• The dignitaries congratulated the newly elected office bearers and encouraged them to uphold the ideals of Service Above Self, leadership, fellowship, and social responsibility.
• The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving the gathering inspired to continue working together for the betterment of society through meaningful service and compassionate leadership.
