Rotary club of Kalimpong organised a program on 28.04.22 at Kalimpong Learning g Commons building to distribute Sewing machines to women beneficiaries as per Dist. 3240 Dist. Grant 2231897.
Beneficiaries were
1. Mrs.Nimakit Lepcha Of Singringtam Thoom, Upper Lopchu
2. Chandra Bhujel of 9th Mile ,Kalimpong.
Nimakit was accompanied by Mr. Urgen Lepcha,staff West Bengal Mayel Lyang Lepcha Dev.Board. and Mr.DonFoning ,Center Co-Ordinator,Sadhu Sunder Singh &Rotary Centre for Skill Development – DISHA, Kalimpong
2., Mrs. Chandra Bhujel was accompanied by Mrs. Pushpa Durral.
Both ladies are already earning extra income by stitching garments they receive on order. They expressed gratitude towards Rotary for this help. They were confident that the machines would help them to generate more income for their families.
The program ended with fellowship and refreshment.
