Upper Ladam High School is a govt recognised Co-Ed school located in a rural belt of Kalimpong district. It was established in 2005 but was officially given recognition in 2023. The Rotary Club of Kalimpong had provided the school with 15 pairs of desks and benches last year keeping in mind the ‘Basic Education and Literacy’ focus area of Rotary International. This year too the Rotary Club of Kalimpong has built two segregated toilets for the students. This is in keeping with the important ‘Water, Hygiene and Sanitation’ focus area of Rotary International. The President Rtn Col AK Gogoi, the President Elect Rtn Pravin Pradhan, the Secretary Rtn Vishal Gurung, and the Club Rotary Foundation Chair Rtn Mukesh Changia spearheaded the committee which oversaw this impactful and life changing project for the students. The toilets were officially handed over to the Head Master Sir Francis Gurung in a small ceremony on 7/8/25. The Rotary Club of Kalimpong garnered funds for the project from Rotary International District grant 3240.
