IMG_9815The 15th Installation Ceremony of the Sasonian Interact Club was held in the Diamond Jubilee Hall of St. Augustine’s School, Kalimpong on 29th July at 3.45pm.
A two minutes silence was observed at the beginning of the programme in loving memory of our beloved Late Rtn Capt. A.P. Lal Sir, the New Gen Director who had held the fort so well over the past number of years.
The Chief guest for the day was Rev. Father Dr. Victor Fernandes, Principal of St. Augustine’s school and the Guest of Honour was the President of the Rotary Club of Kalimpong, Rtn. CA Sumit Jindal .
Around 10 Rotarians were present to witness the event along with representatives from the Rockvale School and DGH School Interact Clubs.
Various other school authorities were present including the Bursar, Fr. Derek D’souza and the Interact Faculty Councillors Mr. Neeraj Pradhan and Mr. Anurag Valmiki .
The Installation was done grandly keeping in mind all the Rotary International tenets and ceremony. Each and every minute detail had been planned to progress smoothly
The incoming President of the Sasonian Interact Club, Interactor Advait Sharma was installed by the Guest of Honour, Presd. Rtn CA Sumit Jindal .
The former was offered the President’s collar and the gavel to maintain discipline and decorum during meetings.
The incoming secretary, Interactor Akash Pradhan was also Installed along with the other Board of Directors .
The Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour gave their respective addresses to motivate and inspire the Interactors .
Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Kalimpong, Rtn Col PC Thapa explained what an Interact Club was.
The installation ended with an expression of thanks and the School Song of St.Augustine’s School .
It was indeed a well planned and perfectly executed event.
