1. The Rotary Club of Kalimpong successfully organised a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences)Workshop jointly with Kalimpong District Police on 24 July 26 at Army Public School(APS), Kalimpong.
2. The Workshop was attended by students aged 10 to 18 years from APS and Kendra Vidyalaya. The event was graced with the presence of Keynote speaker Shovna Sewa, OC Dist Crime Bureau, President of Rotary Club,
Rtn Pravin Pradhan, Secretary, Rtn Pauline Singh, Principal of APS, Rtn Shova Pradhan,
Rtn Sanjogita Subba, Rtn Ritika Singh amongst others.
3. The Workshop featured an insightful presentation by Shovna Singh who delved into the complexities of POCSO and related topic’s such as Cyber crime and related legal ramifications. The session also provided student’s with important resources and emergency telephone numbers and central POCSO website.
4. The Workshop conclude d with an interactive question and answer session. Additionally, Rtn Ritika Singh, Chair of Girl and Women Empowerment contributed to the discussions on important aspects of empowerment and awareness in safeguarding Children rights.
