The 33rd installation ceremony of the 34th President of RC Kalimpong was held on 5/7/25 at the Rotary Centre. The chief guest was Capt Prakash Mani Pradhan, Principal Rockvale Academy.
Among the dignitaries present was the AG of zone 8 Rtn Shoyeta Chatterjee, Outgoing President Rtn Sheila Rai Fudong administered the oath of office to incoming President Rtn Col AK Gogoi and handed him the President’s collar, charter, gong and gavel. Outgoing Secretary PP Rtn Col PC Thapa handed his collar to the incoming secretary Rtn Vishal Gurung. The theme for this Rota year is ‘unite for good!. The new Board of Directors was introduced and given their lapel pins. Two Rotarians viz PP Rtn S Bajla and PP Rtn Prakash Gupta were felicitated for their 25 years of ‘service above self’ in Rotary. The Major Donor lapel pin was presented to PP Rtn Prakash Gupta by the Chief Guest. MPHF level 4 lapel pin was also presented to outgoing secretary PP Rtn Col PC Thapa. The ceremony was followed by fellowship and dinner. Prior to the start of the ceremony, a photograph of Ma Bose, the donor of the land on which the Rotary Centre stands, was unveiled by the Chief Guest and PP Rtn Indira Bose, the former’s daughter
