On 12th of February, 2023, The Rotary Club of Kalimpong conducted a Dental Camp in Sed Gyued Datsang Monastery. The Monastery is located in 10 and 1/4th mile, near Sanjay Saw Mill Kalimpong, Ponda Go down.
The dental camp focused on screening the monks with any oral health issue and imparting dental education to the monks of the said monastery and also some neighbourhood residents that wanted to avail the benefit of the Camp.

Accompanied and encouraged by the President ~ Mr Sumit Jindal, Secretary sir Col. Ashok Gogoi with his Wife Mrs Passang Gogoi, and Community Service chair Dr Devendra Pradhan .
Each beneficiaries were made aware of their dental health status and how to prevent dental problems like cavities and gum diseases. Necessary dental procedures were explained to them .They were also taught proper brushing techniques and how to take care of the toothbrushes. How to manage Dental Emergencies were taught to the supervisor of the Monastery. A total of 50 beneficiaries were screened and Toothpastes and toothbrushes along with mouthwashes and emergency analgesics were distributed to them. The beneficiaries we’re grateful and expressed their gratitude at the end of the camp which made the camp a successful and a rewarding one.
