The 15th Installation Ceremony of the Interact Club of Rockvale Academy was held on the 26th of August 2022 at 2 pm in their Junior School Hall.
The chief guest for the occassion was Captain Prakash Mani Pradhan, Principal of Rockvale Academy and
the guest of honour was Rtn CA Sumit Jindal, President of the Rotary Club of Kalimpong.
Several other Rotarians including the New Generation Director , Rtn SR Fudong attended the function .
The faculty councillors of Dr Graham’s Homes and Vrindavan School were also present with some Interactors .
The MC for the ceremony was Intr Suhana Singh who conducted the proceedings very efficiently.
After the National Anthem was sung, Intr Bishal Tamang gave a welcome address. The SAA , Intr Simran Rai then escorted the chief guest and guest of honour to the dais. Incoming President Intr Gargee Thapa and incoming Secretary Intr Manawi Rai were also escorted to the dais.
Intr Samar Rahaman and Intr Kriti Kanika felicitated the dignitaries on the dais, the attending Rotarians and the faculty councillors.
The reports of the Secretary and the treasurer of the previous year’s were presented .
The guest of honour Rtn CA Sumit Jindal then ceremoniously inducted the President of the Interact Club of Rockvale Academy and administered her the Oath and handed over the Gavel to maintain discipline and decorum .
The Secretary was also inducted and handed over her lapel pin .
President Intr Gargee Thapa then gave her acceptance speech. She promised to lead her club to the best of her abilities. She proceeded to introduce her Board of Directors who were handed their lapel pins by the Guest of Honor , Rtn. CA Sumit Jindal .
The Chief Guest gave out the lapel pins of the new inductee Interactors.
The New Gen Director of the Rotary Club of Kalimpong, Rtn Sheila Rai Fudong ceremoniously administered the oath of office to the interactors .
The guest of honour President Rtn CA Sumit Jindal addressed the gathering explaining the whys and wherefores of an Interact Club and what being an Interactor entailed and encouraged them to give their best .
The New Gen Director, Rtn Sheila Rai Fudong in her speech encouraged the Interactors to ‘Imagine’ and have a vision for the future, this year the RI President’s theme being ‘Imagine Rotary.’
The chief guest , Principal of Rockvale Academy Capt Prakash Mani Pradhan spoke eloquently about how serving the community was practised not only by Rotarians but by various communities and other organisations throughout the word. He urged his school’s Interact Club to be the best in the District.
Here it is notable to mention that with 132+ members , the Interact Club of Rockvale Academy has become the largest Interact Club of the Kalimpong district.
This is indeed a matter of great pride for the sponsor club , Rotary Club of Kalimpong.
The Principal and the faculty councillors of RVA were presented with tokens of appreciation by the President of RC Kalimpong.
The guest of honour and the other guests present were handed potted succulents as a token of appreciation and the idea was initiated by their school’s Green Club.
After the photograph session, President Intr Gargee Thapa adjourned the programme for tea and delicious snacks all prepared in house by the students of Rockvale Management College .
